Gather Time

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 28, 2026

Gather Time is designed around a single principle: your data stays on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. Gather Time does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal information.

What stays on your device

The information you enter into Gather Time — names, birthdates, relationships, photos, and notes — is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's standard on-device storage. It is shared between the Gather Time app and the Gather Time home-screen widget on the same device via an App Group, which is a private storage area accessible only to apps you have installed.

When you choose a photo for a family member, only the photo you specifically pick is saved into Gather Time's private storage. Gather Time does not request access to your entire photo library — it uses Apple's standard PhotosPicker, which runs outside the app and only hands the app the single image you selected. The photo is then resized and stored in Gather Time's private App Group container. It is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared.

What we do not do

Data deletion

To delete all data: uninstall the Gather Time app from your iPhone. All locally stored data is removed by iOS as part of the standard uninstall process.

Children

Gather Time does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. As stated above, no data is collected at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes in a material way (for example, if a future version of the app adds optional cloud sync), the updated policy will be posted here and the change will be noted in the app's release notes before taking effect.
